Adventure. Community. Conservation.
SOFLO Overlander helps South Florida get outdoors. We teach safe, responsible vehicle-based exploration, lead free community rides through Florida's wild public lands, and protect the places we love along the way.
Why we exist
Getting South Florida outdoors, the right way
Overlanding is vehicle-based adventure travel. It is camping, wildlife, photography and friendship as much as it is four-wheel drive. Our mission stands on three pillars.
Adventure
We inspire people to trade a weekend on the couch for a sunrise in the pines. Guided beginner-friendly rides make the first step easy, whatever you drive.
Community
Nobody wheels alone here. We go in together and we come out together: recovery help, radio comms, shared meals and a trail family that shows up when it matters.
Conservation
The Everglades and Big Cypress are the reason we exist. We teach tread-lightly ethics, wildlife respect and leave-no-trace camping so these places outlive us all.
What we do
Free programs, open to everyone
Every program is built to lower the barrier between South Florida families and the wild places in their own backyard.
Trail education and safety
Nearly 100 free videos plus in-person talks on trail safety, vehicle recovery, GMRS and ham radio communication, and what to pack. Visit the Trail Academy
Guided community rides
Regular meet-up-and-ride events on the South Florida Adventure Trail and public lands like Big Cypress, Picayune Strand and J.W. Corbett. Beginners are the point, not a problem.
Conservation stewardship
Wildlife education, tread-lightly training and route documentation that keeps traffic on legal trails and out of sensitive habitat.
Community service
From disaster-relief fundraising to supporting K9 search-and-rescue transport, our crews answer the call off the trail too. See our impact

Real voices
A community that shows up
"I got my truck completely stuck and had to leave it overnight. The community came through. Even with rain making everything worse, they stuck with me until we finally got the truck out. Forever grateful for this amazing community."
"17 rigs and 25 passionate souls navigated the trails, shared stories, and even held a friendly cafecito challenge in the heart of nature. The best memories are made by embracing every twist and turn along the way."

Florida has a wild side
We are so much more than beaches and nightclubs. This is the Florida we explore, an hour from downtown Miami.
Your first trail is closer than you think
You do not need a built rig, expensive gear or experience. You need a Saturday, a sense of adventure and people who have your back. That part is on us.
